Maybe it's me being self-conscious, but I haven't been as present these days. Not present on my blog, social media, newsletter, or with money coaching.
Yes, these are special times. COVID has changed everything for all of us. That is no lie.
But lately I have also been splitting my time between running this money coaching business and a side hustle.
Yes, I got a side hustle. Three, in fact!
Since the pandemic hit, client work has been up and down. While I still have paying clients, the income is not as reliable as it was before the pandemic.
I've also been through a personal roller coaster. I went through a breakup and had to move during a pandemic without a safety net.
It took me several months to get through the emotional part of this journey and I am still getting back on my feet financially.
It took me a long time to accept the fact that as a Money Coach, I was struggling.
Once I accepted the fact, it was a no-brainer...get a job, Olga!
So I went on a hunt...my qualifications were simple:
something that makes me feel like I'm doing something useful
I'm still able to make time for all of my money coaching work
flexible hours
In a span of two months, I applied for several part-time jobs and landed three of them!
I'm currently working as a Census Enumerator and a Voter Registration Drive Quality Assurance Assistant. I will also be working as a Poll Worker for this year's election.
With each gig I feel like I'm doing something for my community and making an impact. I'm able to create my own schedule and focus on my podcast and all of the money coaching work that I do.
While all of this is also taking time away from running the business, it's also giving me the freedom to run my business on my terms.
I don't have to take clients I don't want to work with.
I don't have to compromise on my ethics.
I have the freedom to create the impact I want to make in the world.
And the beauty of doing this for the last month and a half is it has made me more focused on my money coaching. My vision has never been clearer.
I have never felt so empowered and can't wait to share the things that are in the works.
